Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple:

This Tarkeshwar Mahadev temple is a Hindu temple of lord Shiva. Tarkeshwar resembles the three lords Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, as the shivling here has three faces resembling three gods and is known as Tarkeshwar. The temple is 5,905 meters above sea level, at an altitude of 1,800 meters. This place is surrounded by the thick forests of cedar and pine. The Santoshi Mata temple is a Hindu temple of the goddess Santoshi Maa. Santoshi Mata temple is 3km away from the main city centre. One can visit here by road, and have to go 100-odd upstairs to experience the holiness of Santoshi mata.

Tip & Top Point: 

Tip & Top is also known as Tiffin Point, Tiffin point is at 3,000 meters above sea level with a height of 17,000 meters and 1.5 km away from the main city of Garhwal. One can reach here by road, travelling or you can reach here by trekking. At Tiffin Point, you will experience some of the panoramic views of the Garhwal hills with the majestic Himalayan range as the backdrop.

St. Mary’s Church, Lansdowne:

St.Mary Church was established in 1895 and was constructed by Col. It is a catholic church with historic memories. No dress code is there to visit the church but one should avoid denim before entering the church, no short skirts, or hats should be removed outside and please cover the shoulder. 

  • St Mary’s church is free to visit here, you can donate as per your choice here for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Catholic church. 
  • The Church is providing a free guidance tour on at sunday 2 pm. The cathedral shop is the meeting point. 

Darwan Singh Museum:

Darwan Singh Museum is a pride of Lansdowne and a historical defence museum, which was constructed in 1923 to celebrate the victory of the Garhwal Rifles. This unique museum is a collection of unique uniforms, photos of army people and many more.

Bhim Pakora: 

Bhim Pakora is one of the best places to visit in Lansdowne. It is just a 2km downhill trek away from the city. By Airway: 

The distance between Lansdowne and Jolly Grant Airport, located in Dehradun is only 143 Km. So you should prefer to book air tickets to this airport only. From here onwards, you can reach your hill station in approximately 4 hours.
