This artificial lake in Mussoorie is loved by tourists for its scenic beauty. It is surrounded by the mesmerizing Doon Valley and spectacular mountain hills. There are multiple adventure sports, run especially for visitors, such as pedal boating, zip liners, and zorbing ball. But note that all these activities are paid. During the Monsoon season, its surroundings gain a serene atmosphere and look magnificent under dark clouds. The lake also serves as the best family picnic spot and lies on the Dehradun to Mussoorie road. Distance-wise, it is located hardly 7 km before Mussoorie near the Dhobi Ghat.
The Lal Tibba trek is one of the most famous treks of Mussoorie. The peak of the trek is also considered the highest peak in this region. Through the dense forests of Deodar trees, the trail of the trek is well-paved and takes you to the height of 7463 ft. You can visit the Buddha Temple, the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple, the Forest Research Institute, the Robber’s Cave, and such. On the following morning, we will spend our day in the sacred land of Rishikesh. Upon reaching Rishikesh, you will notice the air taking its purest form in the presence of the spiritual environment.
