Kharsali is a village located near the Jankichatti and popular for the en route site of Yamunotri Dham.
Approximately, this village is located at an altitude of 2676 metres. Kharsali Village is the same site from where Yamunotri Dham worship is performed during the temple closure time.
On Day 2, you will stay overnight in the Kharsali, so if you have time then you can explore the raw beauty of Uttarakhand village. There’s a temple dedicated to Lord Shani here. So, you can go and seek blessings.

Badrinath is located at an altitude of 3133 meters above sea level. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu and the most visited site of the Char Dham. The temperature at Badrinath ranges from 8°C to 22°C in summer (May-June) and from -15°C to 5°C in winter (November-April). The temple remains open throughout the year, but the road access is limited in winter due to snowfall.
Kedarnath is located at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and the most remote and difficult site of the Char Dham. The temperature at Kedarnath ranges from 5°C to 18°C in summer (May-June) and from -20°C to -5°C in winter (November-April). The temple remains closed from November to April due to snowfall.
Yamunotri is located at 3291 meters above sea level. It is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of Goddess Yamuna. Your Chota Char Dham yatra will begin after you arrive at Dehradun Airport or Railway Station. Once you reach there, our driver will welcome you at the exit of the Airport. Thereafter, he will drop you off at the Hotel for a one-night stay. We'll be providing you dinner on Day 1st, so you can enjoy the meal and can sleep peacefully there. The breakfast and lunch of your 1st day is not on us. You have to manage it on your own. Though, we shall offer dinner to you. Tip: Being the capital of Uttarakhand, Dehradun is a well-developed city. So you can explore the city if you have time. But try to sleep early, because the next day will be hectic.
On the lovely morning of Day 2, have your breakfast in the early morning. Then our trained driver will drop you to the Sahastradhara heliport before 8:00 Am. From there you'll fly to Kharsali helipad by helicopter. As soon as you reach Kharsali, our assistant will be waiting for you. Meet with him and he will take you to a pre-reserved palki or pony. So the trek of 5 Km, from Kharsali to Yamunotri Dham will be covered by Palki or Pony as per your convenience. After this trek, you'll finally reach the First destination of your Char Dham Yatra, which is Yamunotri. Go and involve yourself in religious practices like Snan in Surya Kund, Darshan etc. When you're done exploring Yamunotri Dham, we shall make you return to Kharsali before evening. You will spend your 2nd night in Kharsali. So relax and enjoy a peaceful evening in the hamlet. Here you'll get accommodation for a night's stay and dinner for your hunger. So just enjoy and utilise your time dwelling in the original beauty of Kharsali village surrounded by snowy peaks. We'll provide all 3 meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner to you on Day 2.
On Day 3rd, as you finish your breakfast, our driver will drive you from your room to Kharsali Helipad. Thereafter, you'll fly to the Harsil helipad from Kharsali Helipad by the Helicopter. When you reach the Harsil helipad, then move towards the Gangotri Dham. Get Darshan of the temple, roam around the complex and breathe in the pure air of Uttarakhand. After all the Pooja and Darshan, we shall take you back to Harsil. Your 3rd-night stay will be arranged in Harsil Himalayan Retreat. Have your dinner and relax overnight in the offered hotel.
Day 4 is all about the yatra to Kedarnath Dham. In the morning, after you are done with breakfast, we shall take you to Harsil Helipad. From there you'll fly to Phata Helipad. Once you reach Phata, your yatra will proceed to Kedarnath temple. Finally, you will get a chance to darshan of Jyotirlinga in Kedarnath temple on the 4th day of Char Dham Yatra.
