Day 1: Starting from Mumbai to Haridwar +

Distance: 1,593.8 km Duration: approximately 1 day

“Namaskar! Swagat Aahe.” to the Chota Char Dham Yatra with Travel Acharya. Your journey will begin with departing from Mumbai and heading to Haridwar. People traveling by flight will directly land at Jolly Grant Airport, which is 27 km from Haridwar. Alternatively, you can take a train journey from Mumbai Station to Haridwar Railway Station. Our driver will wait to pick you up from your arrival location (airport/railway station) and drop you at the hotel booked in Haridwar. Have a meal and rest in the hotel for the tour starting on the following day.

Day 2: Haridwar To Barkot +

Distance: 198 km Duration: 4-5 hours

Devotees, get ready to embark on your journey to the Char Dham Yatra organized by your reliable Travel Acharya. Firstly, you will have your meals, pack your essentials, and then decamp with our operators of the Yatra to Barkot. It is a small town located near the banks of the Yamuna and the pilgrim resting spot. On entering, you will see the gushing Yamuna River, vistas of Bandarpoonch, natural beauty, and much more. The driver will take you to your accommodation in Barkot, where you have to stay for a night. If you get some time, you can roam about the town.

Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri and Returning Barkot Again +

Distance: 46.6 km + 6 km (trek) Duration: 2 hours

TIt's time to head to the first Dham of the Chota Char Dham Yatra, Yamunotri. Eat your morning fuel and grab a backpack to leave Barkot for Yamunotri Dham. The driver will take you on a 2-hour drive of the scenic route of trek bases such as Jankichatti or Phoolchatti. On reaching Jankichatti, the trek ascends to the Yamunotri town, at 3293 meters. However, devotees who are physically incapable of trekking steep ascents can hire a doli or pony/horse at their own expense. 

    After the 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham, you will be greeted by the sacred Yamuna River, Jamnabai Kund, and Devi Yamuna Temple, the daughter of Surya Dev. First, take a sacred bath at Jamnabai Kund and enter the temple to seek the blessings of Devi Yamuna. Also, visit Surya Kund and cook raw rice in a potli (cloth bag) or potato in this hot spring, which serves as Prasad for you. If you have some time, you can trek down for 4 hours or take a helicopter ride to Kharsali (5 km). This place has the Temple of Shani (Brother of Yamuna) and the winter seat of Devi Yamuna.

    After you have completed your darshan, trek back to Jankichatti, where the operator will be waiting to pick you up in the transport. After you arrive in Jankichatti, you will be dropped off at the hotel in Barkot. Eat some meals and recharge yourself for our next rest stop to the second Dham.

Day 4: Barkot to the next stop, Uttarkashi +

Distance: 120 km Duration: 4 hours

The next stop is Uttarkashi, the second pilgrimage site of the Chota Char Dham Yatra. After finishing your breakfast and packing, the operator takes you to Uttarkashi. This 4-hour drive gives you enchanting views of lofty peaks and forest-covered regions. When you arrive at Uttarkashi, check in to your hotel room and relish your food. Also, you can roam about the town, enjoy culture, or try Garhwali cuisine. Stay overnight and sleep well for the next pilgrimage visit.

Day 5: Visiting Gangotri Dham and Driving Back to Uttarkashi  +

Distance: 100 km Duration: 3-4 hours

The next morning, after your overnight stay in Uttarkashi, you will be going to Gangotri Dham with our operator. 

  Finish your breakfast, and you will be departing from the hotel to our traveler transport. After the 4-hour road trip, we will reach Gangotri, the origin place of River Ganga. Also, you will be amazed to see the majestic Bhagirathi River, the source of the Ganges. Visit the Ganga Temple and experience the eternal bliss in Ganga Aarti. At 17 km from Gangotri, you can visit Gaumukh Glacier, the originating point of the River Ganga. Take some time to explore the local food, markets, and culture of this holy town of Gangotri. Seek the darshan of the holy River Ganga and visit Maa Ganga Temple for blessings. When devotees say “Har Har Gange,” the spiritual bliss is ignited.

After darshan, our driver will take you back to Uttarkashi. Savor your dinner and get a good sleep.

Day 6: Routing from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi  +

Distance: 199.2 km Duration: 8 hours

In the morning, when you are done with breakfast, you will be heading for Guptkashi, the next stop of the third pilgrimage site. The driver will pick you up from the hotel in Uttarkashi and drive you to Guptkashi. 

Enjoy the scenic road trip with breathtaking landscapes, adding charm to your journey. After an 8-hour drive, you will be taken to the Guptkashi accommodation where you can have dinner and a quality sleep for the next Dham.

Day 7: Going from Guptkashi to Kedarnath +

Distance: 30 km + 16 km (trek) Duration: 3 hours

Har Har Mahadev! Gear up for the third pilgrimage visit to Kedarnath Dham as a part of the Chota Char Dham Yatra. Our driver will drop you off at Gaurikund after the morning meal. The Gaurikund is the revered place where Mata Parvati meditated, and you can take a dip in the auspicious water of the kund. From here, the Kedarnath trek begins, which is a moderate-level trek of 16 km. If trekking is physically challenging, you can hire a doli or pony at your own expense. 

Helicopter services from Guptkashi will directly take you to the Kedarnath Dham. After the darshan of Lord Mahadev, you can return to the helipad. The operator will pick you up and drop you back at the hotel.

After arriving at Kedarnath Dham, seek darshan and perform puja of Lord Shiva and the sacred Shivling. A special puja can be requested by offering nominal fees to the temple priest. Enjoy your stay in tents or guesthouses nearby and experience the divine energies of Kedarnath.

Day 8: Traversing Back from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi +

Distance: 30 km + 16 km (trek) Duration: 3 hours

After the morning darshan of the Kedarnath Shivling and puja, you must trek back to Gaurikund. Witness the morning aarti of Lord Shiva for a spiritually enriching experience. After the darshan is completed, you can trek back to the Gaurikund trail, and those who arrived here by dolis or pony rides. 

   The driver will wait for you to reach Gaurikund and get into the transport. He will again drop back to your hotel in Guptkashi to stay for a night. Devotees who came by helicopter must head back to the helipad for Guptkashi.

Day 9: Leaving From Guptkashi to Joshimath +

Distance: 161 km Duration: 4-5 hours

After your morning meal, the driver will pick you up from Guptkashi and drive you to Joshimath. Joshimath is the gateway to Badrinath Dham, the final site of the Chota Char Dham Yatra.

   Snow-clad peaks and alpine meadows will accompany you throughout the journey. On reaching Joshimath, you can explore this sacred town of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and its religious centers (Math). Have dinner and sleep in the hotel room to freshen up for tomorrow's journey.

Day 10: Joshimath to Badrinath Dham and Returning Joshimath +

Distance: 40 km Duration: 1-2 hours

On Day 10 of the Chota Char Dham Tour, we will visit the last dham of Lord Badrinath. After finishing your breakfast, you will be leaving for the journey to the final destination.

At Badrinath, you will be greeted by the magnificent Badrinath Temple [more attractions in Badrinath (e.g., Mana Village, Vasudhara Falls)]. Take a holy plunge in Tapt Kund, a holy natural hot spring near the Badrinath temple. Then seek the darshan of the Lord Vishnu in the Badrinath Temple. To request a special puja, you give some Dakshina to the temple purohit.

Make some time to explore any of these attractions, such as Surya Kund, Statues of Pandavas, Badri Van, Saraswati River, etc. Otherwise, you can be involved in the cultural and religious activities of this divine place.

We will depart from the Badrinath Dham after the spiritual morning aarti and darshan of Lord Badrinath. The driver will drop you at Joshimath at your hotel. Savor your dinner and have a sound sleep, as we have ended with the darshan of Chota Char Dham Yatra.

Day 11: Joshimath to Haridwar +

Distance: 268 km Duration: 7-8 hours

After completing the Chota Char Dham Tour, we will drive back to Haridwar. The driver will pick you up from Joshimath after your breakfast and packing bags. Enjoy the scenic route of the Garhwal region covered by alpine vegetation and dense forests. On your route, you will cross the holy towns of Rudraprayag and Devprayag. When you reach Haridwar, you will be taken to your hotel, from where you will depart for the city, Mumbai.

Day 12: Back to Mumbai, Maharashtra, from Haridwar. +

It's Day 12, the end of your tour package for Chota Char Dham Yatra. Our operator will be waiting to finish your breakfast and be ready to leave for Mumbai. He will take you to either Jolly Grant Airport (40 km) or Haridwar Railway Station (3.5 km), the mode of departure to Mumbai you have opted for.
