Day 1: Beginning from Haridwar to Barkot +

Begin your tour from your location and arrive at Haridwar Bus Stand, train for Haridwar Railway Station or fly to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and then travel to Haridwar by road. As our main head office is in Haridwar, we have great knowledge and connectivity in this region that will be helpful to guide you throughout the tour. Our reliable driver will receive you from the place where you have arrived and take you to Barkot. The driver will drop you at your accommodation in Barkot. Have your dinner and rest to visit the first pilgrimage site of this journey, Yamunotri Dham.

Day 2: 1st Dham: Barkot→Yamunotri→Barkot +

Jai Yamuna Maiya!!!

The revered place of Yamunotri belongs to Goddess Yamuna, daughter of Surya Dev is believed to have appeared here on this earth. It is the first pilgrimage site to visit during your Chota Char Dham Yatra.
When you are done with breakfast, the driver will drive you to Yamunotri Dham. the trip will go through the green meadows. The 45.6 km (1.5 hours) scenic drive will take you to Jankichatti, the 6 km trek base for Yamunotri. Ponies, pithus and palkis are available for senior citizens or person with health challenges. Take your yatra free registration slip from the counter and begin your trek to Yamunotri Dham. After reaching there you can see the Yamuna Temple and the gushing Yamuna River descending from the mountains. Take a holy bath in Surya Kund, a hot spring and visit the Yamunotri Temple. You can take Yamuna water and prasad with you. After exploring the Dham, you will drive back to Barkot to your accommodation. Dine on some delicacies and rest for the next day.

Day 3: Going from Barkot to Uttarkashi +

Our station for the second pilgrimage site is Uttarkashi, the north of Kashi in Varansi. After fuelling your stomach will morning meal, the driver will take you to the 82 km road trip from Barkot to your accommodation in Uttarkashi. You will reach after 2 hour-drive to your hotel where you can eat your meal and take rest. Take time to roam about the city, see the culture and view the religious sites. Sleep in your room to preserve energy for a visit to the next pilgrimage site.

Day 4: 2nd Dham: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and Return Uttarkashi +

Har Har Gange!!!

Gangotri Dham, is the second pilgrimage site of the Chota Char Dham Yatra where Maa Ganga originates from Gaumukh Glacier and its source River Bhagirathi.
After breakfast, you will leave Uttarkashi early with the driver for the Gangotri Dham at the banks of the River Bhagirathi. The route will pass through the enchanting Harsil Valley, where you can stop and see the views after your darshan. The driver will drop you at 500 m from the dham, as vehicles are not allowed. A wheelchair service for the senior citizens are available. Walk from there towards the dham, which takes only a few minutes. Take a temple registration slip from the entrance. Do the darshan of Maa Gangotri and shrines of Lord Shiva, Ganesha, Bhagirathi, Maa Laxmi, Maa Annapurna, Lord Hanuman and other dieties. After darshan, explore this dham, and then we will return to your hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi +

On the fifth day of the tour, we will head towards Guptakashi after breakfast. The legendary town of Guptkashi has an ancient link to Lord Shiva. It is also part of Kedar Khand. During the Mahabharata time, Lord Shiva hid in this place from the Pandavas, who were doing penance to seek forgiveness and salvation from the Lord.
The driver will drop you at your hotel in Guptkashi, located 200 km (7 hours) from Uttarkashi. Rest, enjoy your meal and explore the ancient temples, religious sites, markets and local culture.

Day 6: 3rd Dham: Guptkashi to Kedarnath +

Har Har Mahadev!
On our sixth day of the tour, we will visit Kedarnath, where the Lord Shiva (among 12 Jyotirlingams) resides in the form of Swayambhu Shivling, since the Mahabharata time.
When you have done with morning meal, our driver will take you to Sonprayag and Gaurikund by hiring a jeep. Gaurikund is the base camp for the Kedarnath Temple trek, going through the hilly terrains along with the Mandakini River. Ponies, horses, palkis, pithus and coolis are available for the elders and people who can’t trek because of physical incapabilities.
Devotees opted for helicopter services from Guptkashi, will directly fly to Kedarnath Helipad which is 500 m from the temple.
Stay overnight in Kedarnath Dham, and experience the divine energy of Kedar Baba. You can stay in government or lodgings and explore the beautiful dham and local markets.

Day 7: Kedarnath to Guptkashi Back Again +

When you have attended morning aarti and darshan at Kedarnath shrine, we will trek back to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund we will drive to Sonprayag by jeep. Our driver receive you from Sonprayag and drive back to Guptkashi. Have your delicious meal at the hotel and rest for last pilgrimage site of the yatra which is Badrinath Dham.

Day 8: 4th Dham: Guptkashi to Badrinath +

Jai Bhagwan Badrinath!!!

On the 8th day of your tour, and we will be going to the last pilgrimage site–Badrinath Dham. Get yourself ready and savour on morning feast, as we will leave Guptkashi for Badrinath. This 193 km drive of approximately 6 hours will take you to the holy town of Badrinath situated near the banks of Alaknanda River.
As you enter the city, you will see the sacred Badrinath Dham, where Lord Vishnu is believed to have meditated. It’s a ritual to take a holy bath in Tapt Kund, a sacred hot spring. After holy bath, go for the darshan of the black stone Shaligram, Lord Vishnu in his Nar‐Narayana form. Many trees of Badari–a type of wild berry can be found in this region and the dham is named after this tree, the Lord of Badari: badrinath. According to folklore, Goddess Laxmi took the form of this tree to provide shade to Lord Vishnu when he was meditating. Also, you can visit Brahma Kapal to perform rituals for your ancestors,. Badrinath and Mana village(4.5 km from temple) are the gateway to many treks in Uttarakhand.
After exploring this dham, we will travel to Joshimath next excursion to the Valley of Flowers, natural paradise. Here we have completed our Chota Char Dham Yatra and rest in your accommodation in Badrinath.

Day 9: Next stop: Joshimath→Govindghat→Ghangaria +

Its time to travel to the Valley of Flowers which is a beautiful trekking destination. After driving for 42 km from Badrinath, more than a 1-hour drive, you will reach Joshimath, a sacred town.
Take some rest at Joshimath, then we will head for Govindghat which is at the distance of 18.5 km (34 minutes).
from Govindghat is a 16 km trek for Ghangaria will begin which you can reach by walking, pony or a helicopter. There are many homestays in the village of Ghangharia, where you can rest overnight and tomorrow we will leave for the Valley of Flowers.

Day 10: Reaching the Valley of Flowers and Trek Back To Ghangaria +

Wake up by feeling the cool morning mist and feed on healthy breakfast, for your trek to the Valley of Flowers, our last destination of the tour.

The moderate trek of 1km from Ghangaria village to the Valley of Flowers goes through thw well-paved, hilly route. It takes approximately 30 minutes on hilly terrain to reach there. Visitors who want to ease the trail can hire pony or a helicopter ride.
Don't forget to keep your ID proof, or an aadhar card for registeration in the Valley of Flowers National Park trek. The counters open at 7 am and closes before 5 pm. You must fill out forms and a fee payment of Rs. 200 for Indians and Rs. 1000 for foreigners. The slip given has to be shown during entry and exit
See the beautiful 300 species of flowers like Brahma Kamal, Blue Poppy, Cobra Lily, Anemone, and many other species of flora. Lost yourself in the charm of the valley and explore the different species of plant kingdom and birds. After this, return to Ghangaria.

Day 11: Traversing Back: Ghangaria→Govindghat→Joshimath +

On the day 11, our tour ends. Its time to return back from Ghangaria to Govindghat by trekking and drive to Joshimath. After check-out from the stay, you trek back by a mule or walk to the Govindghat.
After you arrive at Govindghat, the driver will be there to pick you up and drop you to Joshimath, a 14 km road journey. Take some rest in your room, enjoy meals to satisfy your hunger and have a good sleep because tomorrow, you are going back home from Haridwar.

Day 12: Joshimath to Haridwar +

Coming to the end of our trip to Chota Char Dham Yatra with the Valley of Flowers excursion you will leave for Haridwar. When you are done with your breakfast and packing, you will Joshimath with our driver. Pack your belongings and check out from the Joshimath hotel to Haridwar again, where you have statrted your tour. Travelling through the 7-hour scenic drive at 269 km from through the holy cities having sacred river confluences of Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag.
Arriving at Haridwar, marks the end of our journey. If you wish you can enjoy exploring the sacred River Ganga, holy ghats, Ganga aarti, local streets and markets.

Badrinath Interesting Facts

  • According to the Hindu scriptures, Badrinath temple is the spot where Lord Vishnu had indulged in penance for a long period.
  • It is also said that Badrinath used to be a dense forest of berries. The word berries is the source of the ‘Badri’ word.
  • Another tale is about Pandavas, who after the Mahabharat war, proceeded to Swarg which is Heaven from Badrinath onwards. That route from where the five Pandavas along with their wife Draupadi passed is now known as Swargarohini.
  • It is believed that Badrinath is the only pilgrimage site of Hinduism where Lord Vishnu has two forms Nar and Narayan. Interestingly, both forms of god are worshipped there.

Kedarnath Interesting Facts

  • In the Kedarnath temple, the Jyotirlinga which is worshipped is the hump of the bull form of Lord Shiva.
  • During the 6 months from Diwali to Akshay Tritiya, the temple remains closed because of extreme climatic conditions.
  • In those 6 months, the worship of Lord Shiva is done from Ukhimath.
  • There is no accessibility of vehicles to the doorstep of the temple, so pilgrims have to trek on that trail.
  • To reach the Kedarnath Dham, the trek starts from Gaurikund which is 16 Km.
  • People say that the great philosopher Adi Shankaracharya Ji ended his life near this temple complex.

  • Gangotri Temple was built by a Gorkha Commander in the early 18th century. His name was Amar Singh Thapa.
  • Gaumukh is the real origin spot of the Bhagirathi River.
  • The name Bhagirathi comes from an interesting tale. There used to be a King Bhagirath of Raghuvansh Dynasty. He had done extreme penance to invite Goddess Ganga on the earth. Since then Bhagirathi is the name of Ganga Ji at its origin.
  • The Pandavas of Dwapar Yug had performed a big Yagna to free themselves from the sin of War consequences in this place Gangotri.
  • Mukhba Village is the place where Goddess Ganga is worshipped during the season when the temple remains closed.

  • Valley of Flowers is a world heritage site designated by UNESCO.
  • According to the Hindu tales, the Valley of Flowers is the same valley, from where Lord Hanuman had got Sanjeevni Booti for the younger brother of Lord Ram.
  • The Valley of Flowers is famous as the Heaven of Uttarakhand.
  • To reach there, one has to trek along beautiful trails.

  • Yamunotri temple has a Divya Shila, which is considered important to worship while entering the temple.
