According to this (Gangotri & Yamunotri) Yatra package, Uttarkashi will be your secondary destination. It means you will spend some time in Uttarkashi. So when you get some idle time in Uttarkashi, you must explore the town on your own. As a Tour Guide, here we are revealing to you the famous spots of Uttarkashi that are worth visiting.

Vishwanath Temple
The First site where you should visit in Uttarkashi is Vishwanath Temple. This temple has the shrine of Lord Shiva and almost all the pilgrims who stay here visit this temple. This temple opens for the devotees at 6:00 Am and closes at 8:30 P.m. So you should plan your visit for this time duration. The architecture of the temple gives the perfect Pahadi vibes and creates a high spiritual ambiance. So consider our advice and visit the temple.

Pratap Museum Tibar Uttarkashi
According to me, you must visit the Pratap Museum located in Uttarkashi. It is one of the few museums of Uttarakhand, that showcases the Garhwali Community in the best possible manner. There are collections of things that show the beauty of Garhwali Culture in many ways. In general, you will get to look at the beautiful handicrafts and artifacts, which reflect the traditional Garhwali vibes.

This Pratap Museum remains open from 9 Am to 1 Pm and from 4 Pm to 7 Pm. And it’s located near the Main Post Office.

Devi Shakti Temple and Lord Hanuman Temple
Within a few meters of Vishwanath temple, there are two other temples also. One of them is dedicated to Devi Shakti and the other one is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. So visit these temples also and give yourself more chances of spiritual feelings.

Krittiwasheshwar Temple
Besides these temples, there’s another temple in the same area, which is worth visiting. This temple is Krittiwasheshwar Temple. If you have more time and want to visit then you can go there also.

Manikarnika and Kedar Ghat
Apart from all these temples, if you have a desire to visit the Bank of Bhagirathi river, then here are the 2 Ghats. The Manikarnika and Kedar Ghat are the ideal spots to visit the Bhagirathi river and experience the rare pure serenity of the river.

Barkot

Except for Uttarkashi, the other intermediate destination under this Do Dham Yatra Package is Barkot. Here also you will take a night break before going to Yamunotri Dham. Practically, you will have a few idle hours, when you can choose to visit the nearby attractions of the town. So now here we are giving you the details of some of the attractive sites, where you will feel good to visit.

Lakshmi Narayan Temple
This is a temple of God Lakshmi Narayan Ji established in the main area of Barkot. When you visit here, you’ll be surprised by its beautiful wooden architecture. Usually, the temple remains open for the devotees. So come here and get the Darshan of Lakshmi Narayan Bhagwan.

Yamuna River View Point
As we know Barkot is settled below the Yamunotri Dham. So the Yamuna River goes in plains via Barkot. And here’s the chance to watch the Yamuna River flowing in the ideal mountainous background. There’s a Yamuna River viewpoint in Barkot. From there, travelers enjoy this heartwarming view.

Dhinara Bhugyal
This is a spot where you can go to enjoy the surrounding views of snow peaks. Besides this, you can use your camera and click several cinematic pictures.

Hanuman Chatti
Hanuman Chatti is a site that falls on the route of Barkot to Yamunotri Dham. According to the local guides, Hanuman Chatti represents the confluence of Yamuna Ji and Hanuman Ganga.
