Ram Jhula Rishikesh:
Ram Jhula, located at the sacred site of Rishikesh, is an iron suspension bridge over the holy river Ganga. It is a famous landmark place in Rishikesh. Jhula has a length of 450 feet, which links two ashrams, the Shivanand Ashram of Muni ki Reti, and the Swarg Ashram. Visitors either cover this distance by foot or two-wheeler. According to mythologies, it is believed that multiple saints used to meditate on the riversides.
For nature nuts, it offers a pleasing view of the Ganga River, which is encircled by Ashrams and several temples. Therefore, there is always a huge crowd of Devotees. Most of the travelers prefer traveling via train or bus. The Rishikesh railway station is only at a distance of 6 km from Ram Jhula. Lakshman Jhula Rishikesh:
Lakshman jhula is another bridge in Tapovan village of Rishikesh across the holy river Ganga, which was constructed in1939. It is 450 feet in length and 70 feet high above the river and has been standing as it has been since it was built. It provides ideal spots to visit hills and forests. It connects one side of Rishikesh to another side of ashrams and Temples. Some famous spots to visit nearby this Jhula are Tera Manzil temple and Lakshman Temple.
The Laxman Jhula was built in honor of Lord Laxman. As the folklore says, it is the exact place where Laxman ji crossed the River Ganga on the jute ropes. The Ram jhula and Lakshman jhula are hardly at a distance of 10 km.
Triveni Ghat:
Triveni ghat is famous and the biggest Ghat in Rishikesh, which is situated on the bank of river Ganga. It also serves as the meeting point of three sacred rivers: Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Triveni ghat is primarily famous for Ganga Aarti, which is performed with the chants of Vedic hymns. The Ganga Aarti in this Ghat starts at 6:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. The Triveni Ghat is considered a divine site as it is assumed that a holy dip in the river will rinse away all our sins and provide salvation. One can also encounter another holy spot, Parmarth Niketan Ashram, during their trip to Triveni ghat.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram:
One of the largest Ashram in Rishikesh, lying on the bank of river Ganga. A famous landmark is Lakshman Jhula, which is around 2.6 km from there. Being the largest Ashram, it provides over 1000 rooms for pilgrims furnished with all types of facilities. It celebrates a serene and pleasant atmosphere where yoga and meditation classes are the routine part.
