Day 1: Starting from Haridwar to Barkot +

Distance: 198 km Duration: 4-5 hours

Beginning your Chhota Char Dham Tour from Haridwar, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver at the Haridwar Railway Station. If you are coming from the flight to Jolly Grant Airport, 40 km from Haridwar, our driver will receive you. After picking you up from the arrival spot, the operator will take you to the hotel booked by Travel Acharya in Barkot. Savor your meal and rest in the hotel, as the next day we will head towards the first Dham of the Yatra.

Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and Going Back to Barkot Again +

Distance: 46.6 km + 6 km (trek) Duration: 2 hours

On Day 2 of your journey, the driver will take you to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti, 39 km from Barkot. Jankichatti is the base trek for your first dham, Yamunotri, where you have to walk 6 km. But those who can't trek may travel in dolis, or pony/horseback rides are available at your own cost.

After the trail, you will be at Jamnabai Kund, where you take a dip in the holy water before visiting Yamunotri Temple. Then you must visit Yamunotri Temple of Devi Yamuna (daughter of Surya Dev) for darshan. Explore the beautiful scenic views of the River Yamuna, nearby places, and markets.

When you have completed your tour to Yamunotri, you have to trek back in the same. Our driver will be waiting to receive you from Jankichatti and drive you back to the hotel in Barkot for relaxation. Have a meal and rest to prepare for the next day's journey.

Day 3: From Barkot to Uttarkashi  +

Distance: 120 km Duration: 4 hours

After taking ample rest from your Day 2 trip, start your morning with a healthy meal before departing for Uttarkashi. This is the next resting spot for your second Dham tour. If you have time, you can see the holy city of Lord Shiva and Uttarkashi’s Vishwanath Temple. Experience the Garhwali culture and cuisines. Stay overnight and sleep well for the next pilgrimage visit.

Day 4: Heading to Gangotri and Returning to Uttarkashi  +

Distance: 100 km Duration: 3-4 hours

Lift your spirits because on Day 4 you will be driven to the spiritual town of Gangotri, the second Dham of Char Dham Yatra. Eat your meal and get ready to go with our operator to Gangotri, where Maa Ganga originates from Gaumukh Glacier (17 km), where Bhagirathi is the source of River Ganga. On reaching this holy town at the banks of the Bhagirathi River surrounded by the Garhwal Himalayas, you could see Gaumukh Glacier, forests, dwellings, peaks like Chaukhamba, and flora and fauna. Starting your puja with Har Har Gange and visiting the Ganga temple, your day will become auspicious and your mind spiritually blissful.

After darshan, our operator will take you back to your accommodation in Uttarkashi. Take some rest and prepare for the next stop in Guptkashi.

Day 5: One-Day Stay at Guptkashi  +

Distance: 199.2 km Duration: 8 hours

On the fifth day, we will leave for Guptkashi, the next stop of the third pilgrimage site of Char Dham Yatra. After you are done with your breakfast and packing bags, the driver will pick you up from the hotel in Uttarkashi and drive you to the Guptkashi accommodation booked by Travel Acharya.

The road journey to Guptkashi will be long and exhausting, but the beautiful scenes of alpine peaks and meadows are a bonus for travelers. On the way, you can stop for refreshment and relaxation. When you drive off to your Guptkashi hotel, have your feast and sleep for the next destination.

Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath +

Distance: 30 km + 16 km (trek) Duration: 3 hours

Har Har Mahadev! We will proceed for the third Dham in the Chota Char Dham Yatra, Kedarnath. You will travel by road and trek from Gaurikund—the meditation place of Mata Parvati. After having some morning refreshments, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Gaurikund. 

Your holy trail of 16 km trek begins from this revered place. If you are not able to trek because of physical constraints, don't worry; you can hire a doli or mule/pony in Gaurikund, but you need to bear the cost.

Alternatively, if you opt for helicopter services from Guptkashi, you will be directly traveling by air to the Kedarnath Dham for darshan and then to the helipad. The operator will wait and pick you up to drop you back at the hotel.

   When you reach Kedarnath Dham after the trail, seek the darshan of Lord Shiva and take prasad from nearby stalls. You can spend the night here in tents or guesthouses and indulge in the devotion of Mahadev.

Day 7: Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi Again +

Distance: 30 km + 16 km (trek) Duration: 3 hours

It's Day 7 of your Char Dham tour in Kedarnath Dham—do not forget to attend the morning aarti of Bhole Nath. After you complete your darshan and explore the stalls, you have to trek back or use services like ponies, horses, or dolis to Gaurikund.

The operator will be waiting for you all to reach there and get into the transport. Once everyone has boarded the vehicle, he will again drop back to your hotel in Guptkashi to stay for a night.

Day 8: Driving to Joshimath from Guptkashi.  +

Distance: 161 km Duration: 4-5 hours

After your peaceful night at Guptkashi, the driver will receive you in the morning after your breakfast and packing bags. Now we will go to our final stop, Joshimath, which is the gateway to the last Dham of the tour.

You will leave when you are done with your routine; the operator will take you to Joshimath by road. This moderate journey of approximately 5 hours will go through the stunning vistas and alpine meadows. If you have time, visit the Shankaracharya Math (a religious institution) established by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. After exploring Joshimath, have your feast and sleep on time for tomorrow.

Day 9: Joshimath to the Last Dham, Badrinath, and Returning to Joshimath +

Distance: 40 km Duration: 1-2 hours

Gear up for the last part of the Chota Char Dham Tour, Badrinath Dham. We will leave Joshimath early in the morning after your meal and preparations. The route is motorable, which might take 5 hours of traveling; keep snacks and water with you to enjoy the spiritual ride. 

   When we reach Badrinath Dham, you can see the sacred Badrinath Temple. Before entering the temple, you need to take a holy bath in Tapt Kund (a holy natural hot spring near the temple). After bathing, purchase offerings like flowers, sweets, etc., from stalls and seek darshan in the Badrinath Temple. If you have time, you can explore nearby attractions like Surya Kund, Statues of Pandavas, Badri Van, Saraswati River, etc. Indulge yourself in spiritual activities as we will stay one day here. 

You will leave with the operator after the morning aarti and darshan in the Badrinath Temple for Joshimath. When we reach Joshimath, you can rest and have your meal in your accommodation booked by Travel Acharya.

Day 10: Finally Returning to Haridwar from Joshimath  +

Distance: 268 km Duration: 7-8 hours

On the last day of your Char Dham Tour, the operator will drive you back from Joshimath to Haridwar. Eat your breakfast and pack your bags for Haridwar. The driver will take you from Joshimath to Haridwar. On the way, you can see the Himalayan ranges and the confluences of Rudraprayag and Devprayag. Kempty fall
Located at 17 km distance from the center of Mussoorie, this Kempty Fall is among the star attractions. It is a waterfall at a great height, which creates a perfect spot for tourism. Its actual location is in Ram Gaon and you can reach there by driving from Mussoorie for about 50 minutes.

To make this waterfall a more attractive spot, there are cafes, coffee shops, gifts, and handicraft shops and most importantly, the ropeway espresso. Kashi Vishwanath
In the route of Gangotri, this temple known as Kashi Vishwanath is located in the Uttarkashi town. You have to step on the right side of Uttarkashi-Gangotri Road to reach the temple. The temple is located near the District Court, and there are some other temples around, like Shakti Temple, Hanuman Temple, Pracheen Gopeshwar Temple, and Krittiwasheshwar Temple.

This Vishwanath temple is built in a large area and it looks huge and elegant. Most people visit all of these temples because they are located within walking distance.

Ardhnarishwar Temple
Ardhnarishwar Temple is a religious attraction on the route of Kedarnath Dham. When you reach Guptkashi, then, you have to move towards Guptkashi town by leaving the Kedarnath Road. After a few minutes of walking on the inter-college road, you will reach the Ardhnarishwar temple.

This temple of Lord Mahadev and Goddess Gaura is spread over an adequate area, and there is a Kund in front of the temple. People sprinkle water to purify themselves and then go inside the temple for Darshan. You would see the mountains behind the temple and so the pictures look perfect outside the temple complex.

Narsingh temple

In Guptkashi, the Narsingh temple is located at a 10 km distance from the Ardhnarishwar temple. Panch Prayag
Panch Prayag indicates the popular circuit of river confluences in Uttarakhand. In all the confluences, the Alaknanda River is common, which meets with another river. For instance, in Devprayag, the Bhagirathi river joins with the Alaknanda.
