Devprayag is a divine town of Uttarakhand is located in the lower Himalayas. It is one of the five Prayag of river Alaknanda where Bhagirathi and Alaknanda combine to form river Ganga. The town resides at an altitude of 472 meters at a highway connecting Rishikesh to Badrinath.

By train

The closest railway station to reach Devprayag is Rishikesh and Dehradun. From Delhi you can take a train to any of these places and from there many trains like Hemkunt Express, Delhi Rishikesh Passenger, Haridwar Rishikesh Passenger, Srinagar Rishikesh express run frequently. After which you can take a bus or hire a cab to reach here.

By road

Situated on National highway 58 and around 320 kms away from Delhi, buses can be taken to reach Devprayag from major cities like Delhi, Srinagar, Haridwar, Rishikesh, etc. as buses run on a regular basis.

By Flight

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun which is around 91 kms away from Devprayag. You can take a flight from Delhi to Dehradun and after reaching there you can hire a taxi or a public bus to reach here.

1. Devprayag Sangam – The point or the place where the two rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi intersect to form the holy river Ganga, is known as Devprayag Sangam. It is one of the famous tourist places in Devprayag.

2. Raghunathji Temple – Raghunathji Temple or also known as Tirukantamenum Kadi Nagar lists among the top places to visit in Devprayag because of its unique architecture which consists of Pahadi and pyramid designs. The temple, located at an altitude of 2050 meters from sea level is said to be dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Raghunathji Temple here is based on the Rishikesh – Badrinath highway which is around 73 kms away from Rishikesh.

3. Chandrabadani Temple – One of the best attractions in Devprayag is the famous Chandrabadani temple  which is built manifesting the Hindu goddess Sati. It is said that the torso of the Goddess Sati fell here while her burnt body was taken away by lord shiva. The temple is well known for its fine wall arts, historical ideals and the magnificent view of  the Himalayas. Visitors can take little breaks at the tea stalls and shops at the place.

4. Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev Temple – This temple was built by Sankaracharya in the 8th century with a vision of reviving Hinduism. Kyunkaleshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is famous for its Garhwali style architecture.

5. Suspension Bridge – Walking over the two famous suspension bridges, Alaknanda and Bhagirathi is one of the fun things to do in Devprayag. Though the bridge is safe to cross,the flow of the water is strong and thundering sometimes which makes it more adventurous and full of thrill. 

6. Teen Dhara – It is situated on the national highway 58 or Rishikesh – Badrinath highway which is around 9 to 10 kms away from Devprayag. The place is named as Teen Dhara because of the existing three small springs there. It is famous for its dhabas and delicious food with the view of mountains and water bodies where travelers stop for a little break during the journey. 

7. DashrathShila – Situated on the banks of river Shanta, Dashrathshilla is the most popular and ancient beauty of Devprayag. The temple was named after the daughter of King Dashrath and it is believed that Lord Rama’s father King Dashrath punished himself here.
